There was an idea… to bring together a group of Marvel’s B-List superheroes to see if they could become something more than just a bunch of characters we still had the rights to. To see if they could work together when we needed them to fight the box office battles that the X-Men, Spider-Man, and the Fantastic Four never could. To see if a throwaway gag in a post-credits scene could actually become one of the highest grossing movies of all time. And then to use a post-credits scene in that movie to set up an even bigger crossover movie six years later. We’ll call it The Avengers, an “Earth’s Mightiest Heroes” type of thing, and it might take us a while to get any traction, but once we do… the possibilities are infinite!

Meow is the time for Legends Podcast to celebrate one of the most successful independent comedies of the mew millenium! Meow the year was 2001, and one movie hit it big at Sundance and won the audience award at South by South West. That movie was Super Troopers, meow, and it featured the Broken Lizard comedy troupe meowt of Colgate University. Meow these friends would go on to make other mewvies, but Super Troopers stood the test of time and meowlasted the rest. In fact, after some nimbly-pimbly crowdsourcing, Super Troopers 2 is in theaters right meow. You heard me, you can go to theater, order a liter-a-cola and watch the sequel right after you listen to this podcast! But be sure to drive safely meow!

Greetings, sled god! Legends Podcast breaks out the cold-weather gear for Cool Runnings, 25 years later - and about two months late for the 2018 Winter Olympics. Cool Runnings tells the true-ish story of the first Jamaican bobsled team to compete in the sliding sport at the 1988 Games and begs the question: can Disney make a movie set in Jamaica without including a single pot joke? Feel the rhythm! Feel the rhyme! Get on up, it's podcast time!

Two podcasts, coming together, facing each other! Legends Podcast joins forces with Arthouse Legends to celebrate their 200th episode. This week, we’re journeying to an age undreamed of for John Milius’s sword-and-sorcery epic Conan the Barbarian. Ripped from the pages of Robert E. Howard’s classic fantasy and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger in his breakout role, this film left critics audiences divided, with one commentator noting that “for every positive review the film garnered, it received two negative ones.” Luckily, we have some qualified guest hosts to help us make sense out of this Riddle of Steel! Welcome to Arthouse/Legends!
