This episode takes John D. and Frank back to Outworld as they witness another round of Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. We’re impressed by Rayden's new haircut but less impressed by how powered down he is. We comment on the actor change, how hair is a powerful fighting tool for a woman, the new latex ninja suit, the stuffing of characters just for the sake of it,the use of metal balls as cars and the power of an axe in the face. |

This week's episode is dedicated to Alban Pelland, a veteran on Earth who’s now exploring the Final Frontier. |

This episode takes John D. and Gen into the neutral zone between the Klingons and the Federation in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. We are more than happy that Sulu finally got promoted to Captain of the Excelsior and are surprised that Chekov didn’t kill Gorkon. We watch as the Scooby Star Trek Gang must solve their biggest mystery yet - why the Federation keeps sending Kirk on diplomatic missions. As we go down this quest for peace, we discover that Earth literature is obligatory reading in most Klingon schools, that not every alien keeps their organs in the same place and that Romulan Ale is more and more common in the universe. We brush upon the Walking dead, the Green Lantern, Fallout New Vegas and the numerous bugs that plague it. Join us for the last movie of the original Star Trek series cast.

This episode takes John D. and Frank to Outworld as they witness Mortal Kombat. We reminisce upon our first Mortal Kombat experience, some of the controversies that have been associated with the franchise and the fabulous success that was the first movie. We also comment on some weird make-up choices, the cheesiness of Rayden, the under uses of Kitana, the amazing soundtrack and the impact it had in the 90’s. We of course talk video games, our wish list for future video game based movies and we do the rundown of the new movie trailers that came out this week. |

We discuss which Star Trek was the highest grossing film of the franchise, we are amazed by the psychedelic trip the crew takes going back in time, the fact Scotty retrofits the bridge of the HMS Bounty like the one from the Enterprise and Spock's post-death re-education.We discuss new tech vs old tech and we talk about 8 Track tapes and comment on info publicity. We also discuss bugs in new video games, why you should play easy mode to enjoy a good story, Gen describes her happy dance and we explain why we go online for Boxing Day or Black Friday. You can find us on iTunes under ''Legends Podcast''. This episode takes John D. and Frank back to their roots as we publish a new entry in the Arnold Arc, Raw Deal (1986). We note that Raw Deal is almost a movie adaptation of Grand Theft Auto, that Arnold doesn’t have enough one liners and that the plot is impossible to follow. We touch upon the Mortal Kombat movies with a promise of a video game arc and we recommend Garth Ennis the Boys Comics (but not to children). We also discuss Jean-Claude Van Damme's career, how we customize our characters in video games and our drinking habits. You can find us on iTunes under ''Legends Podcast''. This episode takes John D. and Gen back to the Genesis planet in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. We noted that the bar scene looks like the Star Wars Cantina, arcade games are still made with vector graphics and Doc Brown is one mean Klingon. We also discuss the political implications of Klingons as well as their dangerous sense of honor. We tangent all over the place and explain why The Lion King is a perfect date movie, the relevance of a theatrical trailer that shows all the best scenes and why Gen is not playing Fallout New Vegas yet. This is our craziest podcast EVER. We ask the question: With which SF character would you have a beer?

This episode takes John D. and Gen aboard the Enterprise as we launch the Star Trek arc starting with a double feature including an episode from the Original Series: "Space Seeds’’ and ‘’Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan’’! We of course talk about Ricardo Montalban's chest, the Shat's acting abilities and the introduction of the Kobayashi Maru. We tangent all over the place, talking about John D. meeting Kevin Smith, Gen's Halloween costume, Leonard Nimoy's career, why we are afraid of teleportation and the arrival of Netflix in Canada. For some reason we can’t stop screaming ‘’KHHAAAANNNN’’ and wonder how many fans stop the Shat in the street while screaming it. |

This episode takes John D. and Gen back to a 1885 Hill Valley in Back to the Future III. We discuss Marty's incredible strength in his capacity to carry Doc on his back, the weird DNA heritage of the McFly lineage and the need for a clock tower in a town with only about four houses. We establish that Marty has his priorities straight by going directly to the saloon and getting a "smoking wisky’’ when he gets to town. We also try to understand why 1985 Doc doesn’t remember what his 1955 version found out about his future, which actually happened in the past... and we lose ourselves in the fourth dimension. This brings an end to our Back to the Future arc. Hopefully no remakes are in the works. |

This episode takes John D. and Frank into the world of John Hughes as we revisit Weird Science. We share stories from our teenage years, remember what a VHS was and try to understand how this movie got a PG-13 rating. We comment on Kelly LeBrock as the perfect computer-made woman, her 80’s style clothing and how she would not be the kind of woman a Mac would create. God bless the 80’s for some of the most beautiful haircuts we’ve ever seen. |

This episode takes John D. and Frank into the setting of The Gamers: Dorkness Rising. |
Sun, 19 September 2010
This episode take John D. and Frank to the explosive island of Vilena in the film The Expendables. We are impressed to see how buff Stallone is versus the governator, how useless the women are and how wood is about to replace C4 as portable explosive material. Since Hollywood is getting quicker at green-lighting projects, we throw our ideas on what would be cool to see in the next outing of this testosterone extravaganza. This episode takes John D. and Gen to the future Hill Valley as we travel with Doc Brown Back to the Future (part 2). We are amazed at the traffic Jam of the SKYway, concept of policewomen/strippers coming in 5 years and that we are actually talking about Dustbusters and LaserDisc. Once again we discuss Biff's obsession with Lorraine and wonder about the plastic surgeries he made her go through. Note to Nike : Where are my auto-lacing shoes? More importantly, note to Mattel : I want my hoverboard, NOW! You can find us on iTunes under ''Legends Podcast''. Please subscribe and give us a positive review! This episode takes John D. and Gen back to 1985 as they try to get Back to the Future. We wonder about what has changed since 1985, if Eric Stoltz would have been a good Marty and how much money was made by product placement. We are puzzled by the way alcoholism, drug abuse, bribery, gunfire, incest, sexual assault and terrorism are portrayed in this family movie. Once again we draw parallels to Star Trek, but this time it’s not our fault: Darth Vader brought it up. You can find us on iTunes under ''Legends Podcast''. This episode takes us to Not The Enterprise 3120 or, the NSEA Protector as we visit the Thermians in Galaxy Quest. We lose ourselves in multiple Trek stories referring to Tasha Yar’s death, Klingon Gagh and how Dr Martin Luther King convinced Nichelle Nichols not to quit the show. This episode takes us to a near future where Arnold is not a politician but a framed police officer on a TV show called Running Man. We debate the futuristic look of LED-Man, if you should put red shirts in a kill or get killed situation and how the Man of Steel almost traded his blue tights for yellow ones. We also introduce The Beast as a guest co-host! |
