Twenty-five years ago, Speed director Jan du Bont’s latest action movie blew into theaters. Starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton as a pair of estranged tornado chasers, the film was co-written by Jurassic Park author Michael Chricton and produced by Stephen Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy. While the screenplay went through several rewrites from script doctors like Joss Whedon, Steve Zallian, and Jeff Nathanson, shooting was also plagued with on-set injuries, budget overruns, and outbursts from the volatile du Bont. Now we’re grabbing as many aluminum cans as we can find and watching the best Dodge Ram commercial ever made - Twister!
