In 1991, Michael J. Fox - one of the biggest stars of the late ’80s - was privately diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. He quickly signed a three picture deal with Fox, producing Life with Mikey, For Love or Money, and Greedy - all of which were panned by critics. Fox courageously disclosed his Parkinson’s diagnosis in 1998 and revived his acting career with acclaimed roles on TV - but this trio of flops in the early ‘90s could have easily destroyed his career. At 32% on Rotten Tomatoes, the Barry Sonnenfeld-directed For Love or Money stands as the best-reviewed of the three, even if it was pulled from theaters after a mere four weeks. Let’s check in to the Bradbury and see how the film holds up.
